Welcome to Casa da Cabaza, a Bed and Breakfast in a converted Galician farmhouse. We are located on the shores of a tranquil lake in the countryside of northwestern Spain. We offer stylish country rooms with a traditional farmhouse feel and delicious home-made breakfasts.
Staying at Casa da Cabaza means being close to nature and the outdoors in a tranquil and peaceful environment. You will wake to a chorus of birdsong and perhaps the tinkling of cow bells in the distance.
Relax and unwind in the garden with a refreshing drink and a good book. Soak up some sun, day-dream in a hammock under the cherry tree or go for a swim in the lake. Everyone is sure to find their own favourite spot. On clear nights you can watch the moon slowly rise and move across a starry night. This place really is quite magical.
Our small hotel offers five en-suite guest rooms. Each is unique with original art works on the walls. The comfortable rooms retain the traditional features of a Galician farmhouse with thick stone walls, chestnut beam ceilings and wooden or stone floors. The rooms open onto a balcony-corridor running along the upper level or the patio with views over the countryside and the lake.
There is so much to discover in this part of Spain and Casa da Cabaza is perfectly situated in the center of Galicia to explore the dramatic Atlantic Coast, the Ribeira Sacra wine region, the Courel mountains and some of Galicia's most beautiful cities.
Casa da Cabaza is also home to a photography and print making studio and creative workshops take place throughout the year. More info: www.etching-photo.art
Because of our location it is necessary to have your own transport.
