Overnight stay

Pros: We decided to stay off La Caridad on our Camino and found this beautiful gem of a place. Fabulous rooms, super comfy beds, super clean and the host was an incredibly kind and welcoming lady. We were blown away and will recommend this place to everyone. Although about a 2km walk from La Caridad, it offers a unique and private setting for all. An awesome outside area as well as a communal lounge where you can enjoy reading, games in a peaceful environment. We are so glad we decided to stay at Apartamentos Castello during our Camino de Santiago.

Pros: Nice place to shorten the hike from Luarca to La Caridad. Very cosy joint living room. Perfect to meet other hikers and spend an international evening. Washing and drying facilities (very helpful after a wet day). No breakfast or dinner, you have to bring everything from Navia.

Rural apartment with lovely garden and fabulous host

Pros: Everything. The host was incredible - her name is Aleida. She is the kindest person and made us feel very welcome

A hidden gem, perfect to reenergize

Pros: The woman from Dominican Republic who received us was super professional and friendly and made us feel really welcome. The room was clean, well equipped, the massive double bed was comfy, and the shower was hot and powerful. We also used the washing machine (communal) and it worked perfectly, included in the room price. All in all, a wonderful experience that recharged us to continue with the Camino, thanks!

Cons: The nearest village with shops and bars is 2.5kms away... That's fine if you are driving, but if you are a Camino pilgrim, keep that in mind (not a big deal for us as didn't mind walking the extra 5kms with no backpack!)
