Great base for the Parque Somiedo

Pros: Amazing location with lovely views and easy access to some great hikes. Lots of comfortable places to lounge in the garden. Quiet and peaceful. Spacious 1 bedroom apartment. Rosalia is a Friendly and helpful host (no English spoken, though)

Cons: Kitchen not well equipped for self-catering. WiFi was non-existent in our room and in the common living room. If you want WiFi in your room, make sure to choose one of the rooms on the front of the house with a balcony. Otherwise you need to stand outside in the front of the house to connect.

Great rural apartment with friendly host and perfect location close to town and Valle de Lago

Pros: great location, friendly host, good outlook, excellent value for money with direct access to mountainbike track up to Valle de Lago, and other walking tracks. The ride up to the lake at the head of the valley was possibly our best mtb ride in a months of travel. You need electric assistance or big lungs as it was 650m climb! Absolutely stunning area with enough walks and rides to keep you busy for a week or more.

Cons: It was a bit cold in the evening and needed just a small heater as September temps dropped to 7 degrees overnight

Lovely, quiet rural apartment

Pros: Great rural location on the way to Valle de Lago. Apartment was very spacious and comfortable. Lovely views. Good off-street parking. Host very welcoming.

Cons: Previous occupants didn't wash kitchenware very well.

Wat een geweldig verblijf hebben we gehad.

Pros: Rosalía de eigenaresse ontving ons met een fles wijn en heerlijke hapjes. Ze kookt ook voor gasten en het eten was echt heerlijk. Gaf ons tips voor restaurants en mooie plekken om te bezoeken. Zelfs toen we weg gingen stuurde ze ons nog allerlei tips over Oviedo wat we gingen bezoeken.

Cons: Niets viel tegen, het waren mooie dagen

Pros: Waar we het verblijf voor gekozen hadden : de locatie in Coto de Buenamadre. Zeer rustig met balkonnetje, mooie en grote tuin. Op de wandelroute van Pola naar Valle. De warme ontvangst en uitgebreide uitleg over de omgeving door onze gastvrouw.

Cons: Hou er rekening mee dat alles dient aangevoerd te worden uit Pola; er zijn geen winkels in het bergdorpje Coto. De kookfaciliteit in het appartementje is nogal beperkt. (belangrijk voor diegenen die liever iets 'gesofisticeerder' koken en/of op een noord-europees uur willen lunchen of dineren :-) ). Er zijn goede restaurants in Pola maar de werkuren vallen toch nogal laat uit (in juni)

Simply delightful

Pros: If you like nature, beautiful scenery, hiking and a sensation of complete tranquility and disconnection from daily pressures, Buenamadre is a great place to stay. In the heart of brown bear country (we saw two bears in the next valley), the apartment is rustic and run by the delightful Rosalia, who has a heart of gold and treated us to Asturian cider, cold meats and cheese. She also does a fantastic breakfast and is a goldmine of information about Somiedo and its culture, traditions and nature. We can't wait to come back!
