Pros: Every thing. We arrived late unfortunatly but Miguel was so nice. Welcome is perfect. Rooms above expectations. I deeply recommend. One thing only bothered me a very little bit and it s even hard to mention, i found the assistant from Brasil a bit heavy. We are happy to know that all is hand make but we also want to talk with the people we came with. She was a bit too much. But the owner is fantastic, his wife also. We were SO happy to discover such an amazing place. I recomend totally, dont miss it. And we had a great diner at the pizzeria nearby. Thank you. I admire so much heart and art in the hotel. GO !!

A perfect stay in a wonderful setting

Pros: It is hard to convey how much we enjoyed our stay her. The owners are delightful. There were really helpful and made our stay extra special. The property itself is amazing and the gardens are really something special. And the breakfast. A wonder in its own right. We really did wish we could have stayed longer and will certainly go back if we visit the region again. A wonderful stay.

Cons: It was perfect. Nothing wrong at all.

An excellent stay enhanced by the very warm welcome and kindness from the hosts

Pros: Wonderful and warm welcome from the hosts. A beautiful garden - lots of different places to sit and see everything. A good choice of items for breakfast. Our room was very well equipped with a comfortable bed, fridge and coffee machine.

Cons: The Italian-style, open-plan shower tended to flood the bathroom area, so it was necessary to use the shower jet very carefully.

If you are looking for something special …

Pros: Location - quiet area, near Lugo. Owners were welcolming and really trying to make your experience memorable. Room was ok, ours was close to the main entrance and phonic isolation was not great. But not too many rooms so noise was bearable.

Pros: Lovely peaceful location. Spacious room and bathroom with quality bed linen and towels. Very thoughtfully decorated and presented. Breakfast was delicious and the host couple were very attentive and kind. Thank you.

Pros: Lovely peaceful location and renovated old building. Comfortable and spacious bedrooms. Very clean with large bathrooms, fluffy towels, coffee machine and fridge etc. Hosts were very helpful and welcoming. Delicious breakfast.

Paradise and unforgettable experience!

Pros: We were so very impressed with the standard but it was the beauty and tender loving care which the owners had put in to the project of restoration that impressed me most! The attention to detail was evident everywhere and I can honestly say that I’ve never stayed in more beautiful accommodation! Beautiful peaceful garden and 7 min drive to Lugo! We hope to be back one day and for longer than one night! Highly recommend!

Cons: There wasn’t one thing to dislike!

Relaxing in tranquility.

Pros: Gorgeous, eclectic and quirky, 3 words I could use to describe O forno de Catuxa but they wouldn’t do it justice. Very original and beautifully thought out property and grounds. My room was delightful and luxurious in every way. The hosts were super obliging and very friendly, breakfast was lovely, would not hesitate to stay again.

Cons: Nothing to see here!

Very enjoyable atmosphere with warm welcoming hosts.

Pros: Heated floor was excellent. Spotlessly clean, extra large fluffy towels and quality linen. We were welcomed with coffee and cake and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts!

Cons: We are used to a king sized bed so we were conscious of the double bed size however we knew this when booking so it was not an unpleasant surprise.
