Pensión Río Sarria

Clean, spacious and excellent communication with host.

Pros: Really clean and spacious room and Ernesto had excellent communication with us and even helped us to organise transport from the airport which was amazing! The location near the river is also really convenient and beautiful.

Cons: Some of the other guests were a little noisy in the night (the wooden flooring means you can hear people walking and talking above you) but we would definitely stay there again.

Great location and stamp for first or continuing credential

Pros: Gave updates and recommendations that were really helpful

Cons: At first had a hard time signing in, but would have helped had I spoke Spanish

A little inconvenient turned into a blessing

Pros: Pension Sarria was a wonderful place to stay after a long day walking as a pilgrim. The location is excellent, close to the river and within walking distance of cafés and restaurants. I had originally booked a single room with a shared bathroom, but upon arrival, the room hadn’t yet been cleaned due to a mistake. The owner responded immediately to my message and kindly moved me to another room, even upgrading me to a double room with a private bathroom as an apology for the inconvenience. This gesture really showed their professionalism and care for their guests. The property also has a lovely scent throughout the common areas and rooms. I would definitely recommend Pension Sarria to other pilgrims and travelers.

Cons: Very bright ceiling light. A smaller lamp in the room would be great.

A private room with clean facilities providing lots of freedom

Pros: Private room at a reasonable price with clean and new facilities

Cons: If there is a desk or tea table, sheets with no stains and a receptionist, it would be more welcoming. The location can be closer to the town centre.

Great room

Pros: Great property to stay at if you’re walking the Camino. Much better than any hostel or pension I’ve stayed in. Communication with the host was excellent, and they were very helpful with tips via WhatsApp.

Cons: Not a big deal, but a bedside table would have been nice😅

Pros: The hands free checkin worked great, the location was perfect, very clean facility

Pros: La cama muy cómoda y la presión de la ducha genial, que eso siempre es de agradecer

Cons: Las paredes son bastante finas y escuchas toooodo. En cuanto se levanta el primer peregrino, ya esta el albergue en pie

Pros: Nos dieron una habitación bastante cómoda, y con baño propio. Estaba muy limpia y bien situada . La cama muy cómoda también.

Cons: En general todo bien, por decir algo que no hay recepción personal pero por WhatsApp te contestan en seguida

Esencial

Pros: Aunque era muy sencillo, estaba limpio y era amplio y bonito. El personal, a pesar de no tener recepción física, estuvieron muy pendientes por si necesitaba algo y por si estaba todo bien. Incluso me mejoraron la habitación a última hora. Fue muy breve, pero estuve encantada.
