Great for what we needed
Pros: Fantastic Hotel Great facilities we had breakfast which was really good. We were recommended a restaurant for dinner which was superb. A night stop over while walking the Camino.
Cons: not a major problem but The only room left to book was a family room and we were with another couple but it was misleading as we had thought the bedrooms would have had at least a divide to them ie separate rooms with doors but it is one open room. also there was no lock on the bathroom door.

Cons: I liked everything about the property.

Cons: €12 pp for breakfast. You could go up the road and get breakfast for €3.50 pp

Pros: Very friendly reception staff, great breakfast. The room was nice & comfortable, and close to the main square. It’s a pity that I had to get up and leave so early in the morning for my train!

Very helpful staff with a warm welcome
Pros: Great location within easy walk of city centre. Incredibly helpful staff who were very welcome. Lovely you hrs such as tea making facilities in the lobby and recommendations for dinner. Garage was small but accessible.
Cons: There was an emergency light inside the bedroom door which was very bright - would be great to dim these or have another option.

Pros: Everything about hotel Garelos was perfect. Where to start!? Iced tea, ice water and a wide selection of coffees free and on tap. A wonderful continental breakfast buffet to die for. The ladies that run the front desk are amazing - wonderful, professional and helpful. The ac worked and we could control the temperature ourselves!! It's also very well located for walking into the main plaza. We enjoyed Betanzos as a base to visit other places in Galicia - it's a fun town with character. Just to say off you are using a car there is ample parking just south of the hotel in a public car park - if you are lucky you can sometimes find spaces close to the hotel. The hotel does have parking underground for a few fee but it was a bit tight for me to negotiate with the Kia niro that I had and so I decided not to use it. A wonderful hotel and look forward to coming back - you will have an great time here

Would definitely recommend due to location, price and staff were helpful and friendly
Pros: Breakfast had lots of choice. We could have free tea and coffee but it was in the reception area and we would much prefer to have had this in our room
Cons: One of the beds in our room was very soft and noisy when we moved in it
