Monqar Playa Foz

Pros: As I thought I'd booked a double room it came as a pleasant surprise to have a newly completed one bed ground floor apartment. The apartment was very clean (I think we were its first occupants) and a good price for August. The living room had a comfy sofa, and large flat screen TV with plenty of original language options. The bedroom was comfortable and the kitchen adequately furnished for basic cooking (though a kettle would be nice). The bathroom was new and the shower powerful. The apartment was very quiet overnight and deliciously cool in summer. It was big enough to have spent a few days there very comfortably.

Cons: Having to get the keys from a very popular restaurant during the lunchtime rush is not fun. We were in the way and had to wait for the chap responsible for booking to finish what he was doing. The apartment was not where it is shown on booking. I think they own a number of apartment blocks in Foz. Ours was 5 or 6 blocks back from the sea up the hill. Not a problem for us but might be important for some. The bathroom, though lovely, had a tiny shower tray with no curtain and a powerful shower, so the surrounding newly laid wooden floor was soon soaked. The mop and bucket left strategically nearby is not really the answer! There was no soap in the bathroom, only a few sachets of shower gel and nowhere in the shower to put toiletries. The towel rack was set at over 2 metres high...a challenge for us shorties. To be fair I think most of the issues were teething problems and will hopefully be resolved.

Great inexpensive stay.

Pros: Excellent location, comfy bed and a great shower. There was a lot of free street parking close by. Kitchen was good.

Cons: There was a damp smell when we arrived - caused by floor washing etc after previous guests. It cleared after airing the room.

A decent place near the beach

Pros: Very clean, with a fully equipped kitchen and near the beach. The location is also near restaurants and anything you might need if on vacation.

Cons: Finding parking was a bit tricky, but found a spot just around the corner, so no hassles.

Pros: Super clean apartment and very kind stuff! Room with 2 floors, so who doesn't like it, better to find other hotel. We was happy with our choice.

Pros: Está bien para pasar un fin de semana,.son los bajos del edificio,en verano al no disponer de terraza ni balcón no sé qué tal será

Cons: Olía un poco a cerrado y no había ninguna percha en el armario

Excepcional

Pros: El trato de los camareros y la de la limpieza del apartamento fueron ambos espectaculares

Cons: Calidad-precio estuvo muy bien tambien

Pros: Ubicacion excepcional. Aparcamiento facil y cercano.

Cons: Dormitorio en entreplanta, para usar el baño hay escaleras

Fijn verblijf met goede prijs kwaliteits verhouding

Pros: De locatie is prima een rustige straat en op nog geen 100 meter een supermarkt wat ook fijn is, en ligt kort bij het strand.

Para mi, muy recomendable

Pros: El precio inmejorable evidentemente dada la fecha. Nos alojamos la anterior vez, y nos hospedaron en una habitación que tenia la cama tipo duplex, en una planta arriba, y esa era super fría ademas de que no nos dejaron suficiente ropa de cama, pero en esta ocasión elegí el apartamento de planta baja, y este si es muchísimo mejor, porque es todo uno, tiene dos radiadores, ventana para poder ver a pie de calle, micro, vitro, cafetera, tostadora, nevera, equipado con menaje y cubiertos, y esta vez si nos dejaron manta en el armario. Tenia dos tvs bastante grandes, nos dejaron suficientes toallas y amenities. Encendias un poco la calefacción y ya estabas super a gusto. La unica pega es que el micro estaba algo sucio, por lo demas para mi todo de 10

Ideal

Pros: Me gustó mucho la ubicación del apartamento cercano a la playa, el olor a mar y la temperatura. A su vez, estaba en perfectas condiciones en cuanto tamaño y espacio.

Cons: No me disgusto nada en absoluto
