Hotel SC

Pros: This roadside hotel is just a short worthwhile detour off the Camino Ingles. Friendly owner completed the check-in process at the small separate hotel entrance to the right of cafe bar entrance. The twin room overlooked the garden and pool and I had no road noise from the back of the building. A large fan and comfortable beds led to easy sleep. Bathroom had plenty of hot water and towels/toiletries were provided. Outdoor terrace to front of building and a nice bar/cafe area. The cafe menu had plenty of choice. I used restaurant in evening and found good service from the owners. Our meals were large with plenty of flavour. Croquettes, Galician soup, Chicken escalope, Iberian ham with eggs and potatoes. Breakfast was available in the cafe bar the following morning. These were good sized portions and value for money.

Cons: Nothing. There was no air conditioner but the large fan compensated well.

Worth walking a bit off the Camino

Pros: Friendly staff, clean room, great food in attached restaurant. One of the best showers of all the accommodations along the Camino Inglés - with big bathtub - and the exhaust fan in the bathroom actually worked. Space at the rear to hang washing. Stand fan in the room.

Cons: All good.

Pros: The hotel itself was lovely! It also had the softest cotton duvet and pillow covers. I felt like sinking into cotton balls. but the helpfulness and kindness of the staff is what really made it special. When i arrived i was in a tizzy because my phone charger had broken. and everything i need is in that one thing. So on a Saturday afternoon they made it their mission to get me a new charger. This wasn't the only time i experienced kindness during my stay. From the first moment i arrived until i left the next morning i felt like home and welcomed. It was wonderful. Thank you very much for a wonderful last night of my camino <3

Pros: The room was clean and nice but quite standard - exactly the one you expect from a hotel near a busy road. But it was surprisingly quite. And what's most important, we were treated by a man who welcomed us not like clients but like a real guests. And what a dinner he cooked for us! It was like being hosted in a real Galician home. Places to remember are created by remarkable people. And we will remember Hotel Santa Cruz thanks to its host. Gracias!

Walking to Santiago de Compostela.

Pros: Very friendly staff and a comfortable hotel. The restaurant was first class.

Lovely personal service at this family owned hotel 1-2 km off Camino Ingles.

Pros: Lovely personal service from the family that owns this place. I had a lovely visit thanks to them.

Cons: Unfortunately I arrived before the pool had opened for the year and the instructions for how to get there from the Camino can be improved as Carrás actually don’t have a sign from the Camino. I suggest say: Turn right at Km 24,119 and then straight down to the main road where you can cross throw a tunnel and then turn right. Continue up the main road passing a Tres Tapas place before you’ll find the hotel.

Stop & go

Pros: Es perfecto para pasar unos días y desconectar o como punto de descanso en tu ruta. En nuestro caso fue punto de descanso, nuestra ruta del camino de Santiago, y nos sorprendió mucho las instalaciones que tiene. A pesar de estar alejado del pueblo dispone de bares cercanos. Principalmente pudimos disfrutar de la cafetería del alojamiento en la que nos trataron muy bien.
