A Casa de Mañas

Pros: This is a lovely family run Pension located in a rural settings. The room was big enough and the bed comfortable. The staff were particularly helpful storing and charging my bicyle

Cons: There is a restaurant just up the road but it was closed that night I had to get a taxis into tow about 4klms away. Not a big issue just something to be aware of.

Pros: It’s a beautiful property, curated down to the most minimal detail. And it’s so peaceful!

Cons: It’s not the property’s fault, but there was a dog nearby barking during the night.

A fabulous house, amazing hosts

Pros: Amazing hosts, extremely obliging and helpful, excellent customer service. A beautiful comfortable house, warm and welcoming on a cold, rainy September evening. Our dog was welcomed too, and as we were the only guests for breakfast the dog was allowed to sit with us. I’d love to stay here again and highly recommend this accommodation.

Charming, quirky farmhouse with delightful hosts.

Pros: Casa de Mañas is a farmhouse dating from the 1700s but sensitively restored using local wood and stone. The present family are descended from the original builders/owners. I find this both interesting and charming. The setting is rural, amongst treees and within the sound of a babbling stream/river nearby. We were met by a gentleman who showed us around and told us the history of the place and in the morning we were served breakfast by a young man whom we suppose to be his son. Breakfast was standard continental food - bread/toast, cheese and ham, jam, fruit and a homemade cake. We loved the location - though it might not suit people who like to have restaurants and bars just round the corner - and found the house charming and the owners delightful.

Cons: We got lost our way when looking for the farmhouse because the final sign was so muddy it was not recognisable. We found a local man who was tending his fields and asked the way. Unknown to us, he telephoned the owner to say there were some lost guests on their way. The owner then came out and was standing at entrance to greet us. I think a new clean sign would be helpful in this remote location.

Pros: Amazing hosts and first class stay. We are on a car form Ireland and we stopped on the Casa for 1 night. Everything about the stay was perfect the exceptional hospitality beautiful stylish room and piece and quite.

Pros: Very friendly personnel. Our room was equipped with a bathtub with hydromassage!

Cons: Some electric bulbs needed replacement

Tolle Unterkunft am Camino

Pros: Tolle Unterkunft für einen Pilger auf dem Jakobsweg. Zimmer und Badezimmer waren sehr groß und sehr gemütlich

Cons: Etwas viele scharfe Hunde dort in der Nachbarschaft

Pros: El enclave natural es espectacular y el pueblo de Mondoñedo es una maravilla
