Spend a relaxing break in this former rural mansion, dating from the 17th century, and situated only 500 metres from As Pasadas beach, on the northern coast of Galicia. Set in a stunning landscape, overlooking the sea, Casa do Merlo is the perfect place to get away from it all, and unwind by going on long walks through the countryside. The hotel is also surrounded by a large estate, with gardens where you can soak up the sun in the summer. Casa do Merlo’s rooms boast rustic-style decor – with wooden flooring, stone walls and traditional-style furniture. They all come with en-suite bathrooms. Excellent accommodation for a short break

Pros: Javier was an excellent host who made also a wonderful breakfast .Very quiet location and a wonderful building and a good base to cycle to the beaches and surrounding area

Cons: Nearby dogs barking all the time although this is not confined to this area it seems to be a thing in Spain

Cozy, cute and lovely staff

Pros: Extremly lovely place! Can only recommend it! The room was so cozy, cute and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Garden is fantastic.

Cons: A bit poorly soundproved (you can hear people snoring in other rooms🙃)

Pros: On walking distance to the beautiful beaches. Very quiet. And an authentic looking building. It all felt very relaxing. Friendly staff

Cons: It’s an old place, so the bathroom was also a little old. Not a problem at all (loved the atmosphere, it was clean, everything was there), but not a fan of showering in a bathtub.

Pros: The host was extremely helpful. He gave us lots of tips about the local area, and further afield. The breakfast was superb. The casa is very traditional, which we loved. Its location is excellent for a number of places of interest in the area. It is situated in a very quiet location, which suited us. It is possible to walk to the beach and to a couple of good restaurants. Parking spaces are ample. We thoroughly enjoyed the few days we had there.

The perfect hotel experience!

Pros: Beautiful hotel and area with a unique 5 star feel. Javier was really lovely and gave us a choice of rooms which we appreciated. The room was perfect and the bed was very comfortable. The help yourself bar and coffee was a nice touch and the masses of local information sent to my phone was hugely helpful and meant we saw a stunning local attraction in the morning. The late check in was so easy with Javier’s dinner recommendation exceeding our expectations. On check out he offered us free bottled water. One of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had! We will definitely return :)
