A Pousa Pensión rural (Camino de Santiago Sanabrés)

Very friendly establishment with great help from the owners

Pros: Comfortable room and very friendly couple who own and run the pensíon and bar next door.

Pros: Excellent location for walking the Camino Sanabres. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They gave me an excellent evening meal. I have just three reservations. Firstly the WiFi did not extend to the room that I was in. Secondly the bathroom was small and shared with two other rooms. On the occasion that I stayed I was the only guest and it was fine. If it had been fully booked there might have been some congestion. Thirdly there was only one electric socket in the room which was in a slightly awkward place just behind your pillow. It meant thst you couldn't charge your phone and have the bedside light on together. I would recommend a short extension lead with multiple sockets. Overall, I would certainly stay there again.

Friendly, clean hostel with delicious food

Pros: The warm welcome, the delicious supper (fabulous salads), and comfortable beds.

Cons: The hot water from the shower was not reliable but no big problem on a hot day

An amazing stay in rural Galicia.

Pros: Everything. Lovely hosts. Lovely welcome. Very comfortable. Superb food.

Pros: Really nice ladies gave ma a warm welcome after I arrived really late by bicycle. Clean, good kichen (best salad ever) and they serve your cold beer in a matching glass.

Pros: It was very clean . The owner prepared us a special meal when she found out I had a cold and we were vegetarian. She also accomodated us with an earlier supper time.

Cons: Shared bathroom, but as we were the only guests, it was not a big deal

Great spot to stay on the Camino near Xunquiera

Pros: The rooms are on the second floor of a guest house that is adjacent to the bar/restaurant. The people that run the place are very friendly and helpful. They made us a great dinner for our finishing of the day’s hike. The hotel is right on the Camino so it’s very convenient. It’s not in the city of Xunqueria, but rather a few kilometers up the road. The entrance is right on the road. The room itself was comfortable and clean. It was basic, but we had Wi-Fi and a nice balcony as well. The bathroom and shower are separate from the room, and so it is a common facility. However, we didn’t see any of the other guests during our stay.

Cons: There is nothing we didn’t like about the property in particular. Lots of flies at dinner, though. I wish I brought a fly swatter!

Pros: The two ladies in charge were very helpful, very pleasant and the food was top class.

Pros: Für Gäste, die Wert auf eine herzliche Atmosphäre und eine saubere Unterkunft legen, ist A Pousa Pensión Rural eine ausgezeichnete Wahl. Im angeschlossenen Restaurant gibt es ein gutes Essen und Frühstück. Ideal für Pilger, die die Etapoe nach Ourense etwas abkürzen wollen.

Pros: La amabilidad de Carmen, su atención y disposición, además de toda su familia y personal. Haciendo el camino de Santiago nos encontramos con los incendios y nos cuidaron y atendieron de una forma maravillosa. El hostal limpio, muy cuidado y se come de maravilla. Gracias Carmen por todo el cariño.
