Pros: The hostal had a nice kitchen that allowed us to prepare food. It was well stocked with utensils and cookware. The room was neat and clean and the bathroom was spacious.

Pros: I was incredibly happy that this house was open. I walked the pilgrims' path in early November and it seems that absolutely all other hostels between portomarin and palas de rei were closed (which is about 27 km). I don't know if the public hostels are open, but everything looked very deserted. Very nice hostess, the house is very cozy. The room has everything you need and a very comfortable bed. You can have tea or coffee in the kitchen. Everything is thought out with love for people. Thank you very much

Pros: Lovely stop on the Camino. Gracious staff and all the amenities you could need or want. Nice kitchen facilities and coffee and tea available anytime.

Beautiful renovation and rebirth on the Camino

Pros: Beautiful and tasteful renovation of a once derelict house. Large modern bedroom and bathroom. Lovely touches like water and chocolates in the room on arrival, umbrellas you can borrow in reception if required. There is a kitchen with tea and coffee and some nice extras, check the cabinets. Very welcoming and helpful manager on check-in who will give you a tour of the house and explain everything you need to know. There is good bar / restaurant within five minutes walk and another bar which also provides food a little further up the road. The house also has its own pool. Highly recommend enjoying a little time here.

Pros: We stayed here between stages on the Camino and it was a great choice, small, clean and very helpful staff made checking in very easy. They gave information on the local restaurants and have a pool which we didn't use and a large garden. Check out in the morning was also very easy as they have a box for keys if leaving early

Relax and rest

Pros: It was very clean and quiet. Also the staff was really friendly and helpful. Hotel has a small kitchen and free drink.

Wonderful place

Pros: This albergue is everything one can hope for after a long day's walk. My room was small but beautifully and tastefully designed, and nothing was missing in it. There is a beautiful lawn and great facilities for handwashing and hanging your laundry. There is a lovely, well-equipped kitchen with sturdy tables on which to eat or work. The lady who received me was kind, helpful, and very pleasant.

Cons: The room was not lit enough at night, making it hard to read a book or plan the next stages of the Camino.

Quiet and comfortable oasis

Pros: Everything was wonderful at Casa da Cota. 100m off the Camino, it was a quiet and comfortable oasis. I received a very warm welcome. The room was gorgeous and shower was wonderful. A kitchen provided self-serve tea and coffee facilities. A great restaurant was just down the road.

Cons: Nothing - everything was perfect.
