PENSION SOBRADO

Overnight stay during our Camino.

Pros: Superb location, near restaurants and the monastery. Rooms cozy and lovely wood decor, with comfortable beds. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Pros: The room was clean and of a good size. They helped me store and charge my bicycle at a nearby Cafe which served food at reasonable prices and the kitchen was open all day.

Pros: This hotel was perfect for us. The room was amazing! The exposed brick wall was fantastic. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large and very clean. The location was perfect, adjacent to the main plaza and right on the Camino.

Like the convenient to sites and shops.

Pros: Good location. Near historic monastery and many eateries. Staff responded to my WhatsApp promptly. Room comfortable.

Cons: Rooms are partitioned not with solid walls and can hear neighbouring guests talking.

Good Stopover on the Camino

Pros: The pension is currently being renovated - roof - so you hear noise in the afternoon but otherwise it was very quiet. It is a self-check in accommodation with no staff on site and no facilities. The breakfast photos are from the restaurant across the plaza which they own. The communication via Booking.com and WhatsApp was easy and efficient. Questions like a request for slightly earlier check-in were answered promptly. The rooms with ensuite bathroom are beautifully renovated. Thank you for the sweet on the bed - a very nice gesture. The a/c and fan are a plus on a hot day.

Cons: We were in room 12 with the green armchair and found the bed too short and narrow for 2 slim people. The bed will be comfortable for 1 person.

Lovely

Pros: Absolutely lovely room and bathroom. Large and spacious. Beautifully decorated. Was able to access the room a little earlier due to staff cleaner letting us in. Vending machine in hall for coffee drinks snacks.

Cons: Code for the building and room doesn’t activate until 3pm. No front desk to check in with. If you are early you would have to wait as there would be no one to ask. I was lucky someone was there when we arrived.

Pros: Centre of town. Newly renovated room. Walk in shower. Ease of booking / Communication

Perfect stay off the camino

Pros: Everything was pretty good here. No noisy guests so I got a good sleep. WiFi good. Bed was comfortable.

Cons: The room was cold and the heater took a while to heat up the room but at least there was a heater so all good really. The little coffee machine ripped me off lol

Lovely accommodation in Sobrado

Pros: Lovely room and bathroom, air conditioning and heating. Contactless check in, code sent on the day, vending machine in lobby

Cons: Nothing, it was lovely

Gorgeous room in perfect location.

Pros: Beautiful room and exceptional location next to the monastery. The air con was an absolute bonus given the hot weather and humidity here host was really helpful in sorting out codes and check in. Would thoroughly recommend as a stop for weary pilgrims.
