Perfect Camino stay

Pros: We loved everything about our stay. Santi is such a delightful man and welcomed us so warmly that we felt like family. His beautiful house is the perfect Camino stop, clean and comfortable with everything we could have wished for including a lovely garden where we could pick the grapes and other fruit. A visit to Santi’s wine cellar to see how he makes wine and to taste his creations was so much fun with lots of conversation and laughter - with a little help from Google translate to supplement Santi’s English and my limited Spanish! A bonus in staying at Santi’s is the 2km head start on the next day’s Camino. Thank you, Santi, for your kindness and hospitality. We will not forget meeting you!

Wonderful host! Beautiful property. Perfect location.

Pros: The owner Santi was very warm and welcoming. He made us feel right at home. We loved seeing how he made his wine from his home vineyard, and especially loved enjoying the wine and grapes from the vines while sitting in the little orchard. The apartment is beautifully presented with everything you need for a comfortable stay. So glad we stayed!

Cons: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Just perfect!

Pros: All are just perfect! Santi welcomed us with big shining smile when we arrived. He showed us his old family house which now is a cellar that stores white wine produced from the yields of his farm, his nicely maintained garden that is exclusively used by us, and most importantly the cottage is super clean, comfortable and stylishly furnished. I highly recommend sitting at the table in the garden surrounded by fruit trees, viewing the sun falling down and disappearing in the mountains stretching far away in front of you, while enjoy the home made wine. Thank you Santi for giving such an unrivaled experience. My daughter is looking forward to trying fruits to be yielded in autumn!

Beautiful retreat on the Camino.

Pros: Absolutely everything. Beautiful decor, exceptionally clean, delightful and welcoming host and very good position close to Camino path…approximately 150 metres. The casa is approximately 3 km north of Padrón, shortening the distance to Santiago de Compestela for the next day, which we were grateful for! In the little village of Quintans, there were restaurants close by, recommended by Santi, the host. However, after a big lunch in Padrón, we chose instead to buy some nibbles at the little supermarket attached to the nearby service station on the highway and enjoy them with Santi’s lovely home-made wine,in his garden at sunset…a lovely relaxing evening. We couldn’t recommend Santi’s rural casa enough! A delightful experience!

Pros: It was beautifully decorated comfortable cottage in a very peaceful location just off the main road.

Cons: Nothing not to like, it was perfect.

Beautiful, warm and welcoming stay at this special spot.

Pros: The host was welcoming and the space was great and sufficient for the three of us. We even had use of a beautiful garden. Our host Santi also provided us with a bottle of wine from his garden and also helped to search after we left and thought we had left behind an item. An ideal place to stay for those walking the Camino as it’s just past Padron and makes for a good final day into Santiago!

Exceptional accommodation, with a marvellous host.

Pros: This accommodation was by far the best that we stayed in whilst walking the Camino. It is actually a small house which has been renovated to an exceptional standard, with exposed stone walls, original art work & very spacious rooms . The bed is large, with a comfortable mattress & the kitchen is very well equipped, even including a kettle. And one further aspect makes this the perfect stay, the host Santi. He shared his home made wine, was very friendly & welcoming. Overall it was a truly memorable stay. Thank you Santi!

Cons: I only wish we could have stayed for longer.

Pros: Santi, the host, was the best host we experienced on our Camino walk. The house is located a bit beyond Padron, so we stopped to have dinner ahead of arriving. One beer led to another and we ended up not getting to the house until 10pm and Santi was more than helpful, offering to drive me back to the town for the carnival. His English is better than he likes to admit, the homemade wine he left was delicious. The house is cute, decorated beautifully and was the nicest stay of our entire trip. Thanks again Santi!

Great stay with a very kind host

Pros: Santi makes an excellent host. He greeted us and gave us a full tour of the apartment and the outside premises. He provided a bottle of his natural homemade wine and later brought us snacks in the garden while we enjoyed the wine. The property was very peaceful and quiet.
