Oasis Ponte San Lázaro

Convenient location close to airport bus stop , affordable, visible tidy but room had smell of mold

Pros: The shared ground floor facilities were very good, the owner was friendly and helpful and made sure she was available to meet me when I arrived by taxi, she also gave me useful information on how to get the bus to the airport, there was free toast and drinking water. The hotel was very close to a stop for the airport bus.

Cons: Although the owner made every attempt to leave my room clean, there was a distinctive smell of mould in my room. Other than that the room was clean and sanitary though and there were no visiible signs of dirt.

Fantastic

Pros: This place was an absolute gem, we loved our stay here and the owners were incredibly helpful and welcoming. A true Oasis in the city , very peaceful and relaxing with easy access to the centre, thank you so much!

Pros: Loved the old feel ambiance. Really a hidden oasis. Lots of trees and greenery. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The host and hostess were extremely friendly,helpful and knowledgeable. A bit far out of the city center - 45 minutes walking or 5 minutes by bus. The #6 bus though, passes right in front the property. This will.take you to the bus Santiago center and the bus station. The #6A will go to the airport. Cost: €1 a trip. Lovely restaurant across the road: O Tangueiro, if you didn't feel to head back. Not a place for pilgrims as you'd be far from the hype of the Camino.

Cons: At this time of the year, October, the rooms were a bit cold and I assume would continue to be cold as winter approaches, and especially after it rains. The dampness and humidity, are mainly due to the amount of trees around the property. I think though,it will make a fabulous place to stay during summer. It will be a real oasis. All in all, it suited our purpose.

Stay in Santiago

Pros: Amazing place, really friendly stuff. Super beautiful area. Super clean. Extremely helpful, would definitely come back. Place with a soul.

Pros: Very nice place, the grounds are lovely and the huge house is amazing, very quirky. Everyone there is very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again. Whilst it is a little out of the centre there is a bus stop right outside the property so don't let that put you off.

I used to prefer blur - but now I am an oasis fan!

Pros: The best place to stay near Santiago …I would love to stay here forever. The owner is really kind and made me feel welcome. The setting is beautiful and quiet. I had a lovely time.

Gorgeous house with the nicest hosts

Pros: The hosts were so helpful and friendly and just all round good people. The house it so quirky and fabulous, the gardens are gorgeous. Lots of cats and dogs and it's just a really wonderful peaceful place to chill out and recover after the camino. I booked a second night because I loved it here so much.

Pros: Very Special and unique place. Inside a forest but close to the center.

Pros: The hosts were incredible and waited up for my partner and I even though we arrived very late. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts, the bed was also very comfortable, the room was huge and it was very easy to get into Compostela
