Pros: The waitress noticed I had accidentally handed over two notes stuck to each other and returned one. I was very thankful
Cons: Not really a criticism but it would be good if there were vegetarian options on menu

Pros: The rooms were perfect, a good size, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom great and it was extremely clean.
Cons: The only thing we didn't like was that when we went down for breakfast on Sunday the waiter kept forgetting everybody's order and as everyone had gone down at 9:00 when the cafe opened it was busy and the one member of staff couldn't really cope. The toaster wasn't big enough to deal with all the toast people wanted so we were offered other things as it would take so long, then when I said what we wanted instead, there were not enough napolitanas de chocolate and what there was, was obviously left over from the day before. The day before he asked me to help him carry the order to the table in the outside area when I was already sitting down. I don't personally mind, however, others might. He then spilled the orange juice as he was carrying it.

Pros: Location excellent for a relaxing few days away. Close to the Portuguese border. Plenty of free parking on site.
Cons: Receptionist in the bar was not at all friendly or helpful. Restaurant was ok, but the one across the road was really good and excellent value. Couldn't have the windows open due to the amount of flies coming in.

Excellent one night stay on the Via de la Plate/Camino Sanbres with superb value for money.
Pros: O Pereiro is a good place to stop if you are walking the Via de La Plata/Camino Sanbres, but beware as this hotel is in O Periero de Arriba and there is a steep climb from the Camino to the hotel. The bonus is a downhill walk to A Gudiña to start your next day. The hotel is new, everything works as it should and is incredibly clean - if slightly austere. The staff are superb, especially the manageress, and the restaurant serves good food at a very reasonable price and is therefore very popular. The beds are very comfortable, the bedrooms have space age heating and are well insulated from the restaurant and public areas so are quiet.
Cons: Three comments - the shower is very hot but the water pressure is not tremendously high, the dinner service doesn´t start until 9.00pm (which for many people is too late for the portion sizes and the rich sauces that accompany many of the dishes) and on Fridays the hotel/bar is closed from 9.00am until the evening so it is necessary to breakfast early as limited supplies are available and when the food is gone it's gone (the bar being a very popular spot for local workers to breakfast on their way to work).
