Wonderful location and fantastic owners

Pros: One of the best properties I could stay at on the Camino del Norte . Very kind and helpful owners for whom nothing to help a pilgrim or guest was too much trouble. Vilela also allows to break up an otherwise tough stage from Ribadeo to Lourenza.

This will be your most treasured stay in Spain!

Pros: Maria was personality plus. Her husband insisted if we needed anything along our way to the next stage of the Camino in Mondonedo to please call them, for anything. Everything about our stay was opulent---olives and potato chips served with beer in the garden with the sleepy cats, a library with books to occupy me for a lifetime...the waft of incense, apples and truffles at the bedside. All of it was such a treat from the dreamy bed and down duvets to the hottest showers and perfect send-off cappuccinos in the morning. Thank you for such a gorgeous stay, we were so spoiled. Casa Donano is just minutes off the Camino--treat yourself here. The experience was so lovely and has been our most precious one on the Camino.

Cons: Breakfast was great but could stil be improved compared to other places, notably in terms of offerings.

Pros: This was our favourite accommodation while walking the Camino del Norte. It was exceptional. The hosts were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. They made us an excellent home cooked meal. We LOVED the garden and spend our afternoon relaxing in the shade, napping and playing cards. In the evening, we sat inside in one of the super comfy sitting areas. I highly recommend this accommodation!
