A dream house on the Camino

Pros: Very warm and helpful welcome from host. She insured that we were registered with the Pilgrims Office and gave us tips on what to do first on reaching Santiago which was really, really beneficial. She also advised on local restaurants and supermarket. This is a wonderful Pension, the rooms are beautiful and well laid out. We even had a cloak room in ours, and the bathroom was perfect with a great shower. There is a washer and dryer in the lower ground floor which was an added bonus. There is also a large kitchen and dining area where you can cook if you like. Tea, coffee and herbal infusions and milk in the fridge are available for your use. From the kitchen / dining area you have access to the back garden with chairs, tables and loungers provided to enjoy when the weather is good. If we could we would move in rather than move on.!

Beautiful place to stay and kind and caring support from the host María.

Pros: Maria the host went above and beyond to help us facilitate registration for our entry to Santiago as pilgrims, she was super friendly and kind and knew what we needed as pilgrims at the last stop for us at the end of our 780 kilometres. Thank you Maria!!

Cons: Nothing! everything was PERFECT!

Pros: Located close to the airport and the possibility of availing 6A bus from the airport to the city which stops close by..Very nice and clean apartment with a kitchen facility as well. Host Maria is very helpful and a great communicator. It was a perfect one night layover in Santiago De Campostella in between flights for us.

Exceptional host and great place to stay.

Pros: We loved that there was a kitchen that we could use.

Cons: Beds were a bit too firm and there wasn't enough bedside lamps for the 3 beds.Really lovely

Highly recommend.. and great if you are walking the Camino.

Pros: The room was large, clean, warm on a rainy cold day. The room had a functioning towel dryer/warmer plus the Pensión had a clothes washer and dryer. I was at the last stage of the Camino and the woman at reception helped me to fill out Compostela registration and gave good general information about Santiago. It was awesome and easy!

Pros: On the Camino track. Our room was lovely and warm after walking in the rain. Communal kitchen was an added bonus.

Cons: A very small town with limited facilities.

A lovely last stop on the Camino.

Pros: A fabulous, stylish property to stay in, with lovely, spacious room and en-suite. There was a kitchen downstairs and also a garden area for if we had wanted to sit outside. The member of staff (owner?) who greeted us was absolutely lovely and a great communicator (using Google translate), despite having no English. She gave us great advice about what to do when we arrived in Santiago the next day, where to sit in the cathedral, how and when to get our certificates etc, as well as great advice about where to eat that evening. Right on the Camino but very close to eating places so a great location, particularly as it was then only 11k to go the following day.

Cons: A bit on the pricey side.

Last stop on the Camino walk. Couldn’t have picked a better pension to stay at.

Pros: Lovely welcome by host. Beautifully clean room. Kitchen to use if required and nice garden. In the centre of village

Cons: Only negatives (and I’m picky!) pillows were like stone. Worth putting a sign up asking people to be quiet at night when they enter as noise echoes around the hotel!

Lovely hotel with a nice garden on the Camino route. Only 10km to Cathedral

Pros: The manager was very helpful. Explained about arriving in Santiago the next day what to do to make things smoother to get Compestela and tips for other things. It was right on the Camino and had a nice restaurant a 4 minute walk. The church had 6pm mass and a supermarket was also close by. It had a washer and dryer.

Cons: All was great

Good stay

Pros: Cleanliness. Extremely helpful operator. Spacious clothes drying area. Tidy kitchen.
