Hostal Meson do Loyo

Pros: We missed the email about ringing to get the pickup from the town, on arrival. That was our fault. Howeverbonce there the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good.

Cons: All OK thanks.

Pros: Great dinner , friendly hots , help us a lot . send us to starting point on next day. Good view from restaurant

Cons: location not in town , nothing to do after check in / no convenient as well

Pros: This place is a bit out of town BUT the Ower collects you from Portomarin and drops you back to start your Camino after breakfast. Food was delicious in the restaurant and breakfast was perfect! Lovely clean and hot shower with towels provided. Staff very friendly.

Cons: Because it was outside Portomarin we didn't explore the town. However that was our choice and it was clear when booking it is outside town.

Pros: The hotel is not in Portomarin but the hotel staff will pick you up from the camino trail in the evening and drop you back to the trail next morning after breakfast

Cons: Noisy from neighbouring rooms

Camino trip

Pros: Peaceful location just out of town. Picked up promptly from Camino by owner and returned to the same spot the next day. Panty of bathrooms which were large and spotless

Cons: Very small basic room.

Pros: It was so clean, even though we were sharing bathrooms, there were a bunch of them. The staff was so nice and friendly.

Cons: It was 2km away from Portomarín, so there is no much to do during the evening. But we liked that they picked us up in portomarin when we arrived, and left us there again the next day to start walking.

Pros: The owner was very professional and provides free transfer from Camino and on the next day bring you back to Camino. There is a nice restaurant with reasonable prices. I can recommend this hotel to anyone on Camino 🚶 it's peaceful and quite ablnd you can enjoy view on the beautiful rive after all this long walk.

Nice stay near Portomarin.

Pros: Accommodation off the Camino, but the hostal provides transportation to/from Portomarin. Dinner was very nice, plenty of choices, generous portions and yummy flavor.

Cons: The room is adequate, however we found the space a bit tight. Very clean.

Pros: Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was good, at an extra cost!

Cons: Location was the downfall. We were unable to walk around town, as we did in other towns on the camino, unless we hired a taxi as we were too far outside the city. They did pick us up in town where the camino finished in the city and bring us back in the morning to continue on. Overall it was an adequate place to stay.

Comfortable, easy, good food, good staff and great owner in a well run place.

Pros: The owner collects you in Portomarin and brings you to the property

Cons: There is nothing we didn't like. The owner is a great guy.
