Hostal Charo II

Pros: A great place to stay. Clean, spacious, comfortable. The shower is good, there’s a window with a view we enjoyed. There was a heater too. Most of all, the attention of the staff was remarkable. The receptionist lady kindly helped us with everything and went an extra mile to make our stay comfortable.

Pros: A cosy but rather small room close to the centre of Santiago. Host was helpful.

Good place to stay

Pros: Good for a short stay, nice location, very friendly and helpful staff

Pros: A very friendly host, she sends us recommendations of what to see and where to eat. We could leave our baggage after check out.

Cons: The furniture is a little bit outdated

Pros: The lady who checked me in was just so lovely. Couldn't have been more helpful and warm. The bed was comfortable and overall excellent

Cons: I found the premise hard to find. Had to ask a local bar owner. Not well sign posted

I found the property was in between a hotel and a hostel type accommodation

Pros: 15mins walk to the cathedral. And the costs of hotels in Santiago this was reasonable value. You could pay less but you’d be staying in a hostel shared rooms.

Cons: You could hear people in their rooms use their bathrooms and I picked a room which overlooks main road and it was quite noisy even though it had double windows and shutters.

Comfortable and welcoming

Pros: The location is right on the last stretch of the Camino, so I was able to leave my rucksack before continuing to the cathedral. Angela was incredibly welcoming and pointed out the cafes that she recommended in the area and the way to the train station (ten minutes walk) as well as suggesting places to visit in the city. The room was clean, comfortable and reasonably quiet even though it faced out onto all small square off a busy street. I stayed two nights and it was a lovely touch to find chocolates left in the room for me after the first night.

Pros: Perfectly acceptable for 1 night. Bed was comfortable and the room clean.

Decent for the price I guess

Pros: The host was nice but a bit all over us. He spoke good english at least. The room was decent enough. Good water pressure and good drainage, more than I could ask for considering our previous experiences. Great beds! Great sleep!

Cons: The floor was not clean. I walked bare foot for about 5 minutes and I got all messy.

Loved our room enjoyable stay will return next time in Santiago
