A warm welcome in Sarria

Pros: The warm welcome by Marcella and all the help and information she gave. Fabulous communal breakfast.

Cons: Nothing, for the price it was excellent.

Great option for Camino Walk, fabulous host.

Pros: Marcella was very welcoming. Room was a good size and comfortable (up a flight of stairs). Coffee, tea, cold beer and wine was provided free of charge after we arrived. Good breakfast for 10Euro pp. Catered for gluten free friends. Also offered them gluten free bread to make a sandwich for that day's walk. Very thoughtful. Supermarket 5 min walk away. Some restaurants close by. Close to start of Camino Walk for the next day.

Cons: A little bit of a walk out of the old town street for dinner options but not a problem for us.

Pros: Beautiful property. Host excellent. Food fabulous. Couldn’t be in a better place for the start of our Camino journey.

Pros: This is an excellent place to stay for anyone doing the Camino Frances. A great host, very welcoming environment right down to the friendy labrador dog that greets you on arrival.

One of the very best guest houses

Pros: Outstanding quality and character for such a modest price. The multi-lingual owner could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Delicious, ample breakfast, fresh fruit, and unrestricted cold drinks available in the lounge and garden area. My room was spacious, as was the en suite bathroom. This place is extremely popular with Camino pilgrims, and deservedly so. Highly recommended.

Cons: Nothing. It was charming in every respect, and tremendously good value. Beautifully restored historic buildings.

Excellent staff, a bit away from the centre.

Pros: Check-in staff were wonderful and very helpful. Apparently there is a breakfast available in the basement area for a few euros but I made do with a Mars bar and a banana from the supermarket. Free coffee and muffins also in reception area. So basically breakfast is sorted anyway. Also, although downhill away from centre of town, it means a nice easy start in the morning because you just continue down the hill to join with the Camino route.

Cons: Location was a little bit away from the centre of town (probably about 300m or so) so a bit of a walk to get to the general food/eating area.
