Comfortable albergue in the heart of town
Pros: Great location in the heart of town. Supermarket 2 min walk away. Nice lounge area. Kitchen had microwave, kettle and fridge. Laundry facilities were great. Clothes hanging allowed in the laundry room so with washers going all the time, there was plenty of heat generated to dry clothes quickly on the hanger. Room was large so even with 10 bunk beds it didn't feel crowded. Separate room available to keep shoes in.
Cons: Mixed showers. The lounge area could be decorated with some pretty pictures in the wall, to help create a great vibe.

Great albergue to stay in on Camino
Pros: Good sized room for number to bunks, felt spacious, liked the little light but could use a hook or shelf as everyone’s things were on the ground (but there is adequate space for this), pillow case and sheet supplied, blanket and towel available for a small cost (0.50/1 euro), good location for Camino and to access Main Street, quiet, lots of showers/ toilets, a boot room, nice person greeting at reception
Cons: Some shelving or hooks for belongings would be helpful

Roomy dorm, friendly staff
Pros: Roomy dorm, friendly staff, cheap blanket rental (50c), spacious common area and kitchen.
Cons: Despite the usual request not to put bags on beds (to avoid potentially spreading bed bugs), the positioning of some of the bunks made this unavoidable. It was a little tricky to find, but the albergue next door pointed us in the right direction. The information we received on booking led us to expect to be sent an entry code, and for there to be no staff. This left us searching email, booking.com etc in the rain whereas, in fact, when we found the entrance, the door was open and there was a staffed reception desk. In the shower cubicle I used, the wall shower bracket was broken and the folding door between the shower and the cubicle door wouldn't stay shut so that it was hard not to splash clothes and the floor.

Pros: The kitchen & living area were excellent lots of space with what you required. It is so nice to find a kettle 2 use & this place has got 2.
Cons: I was in top bunk & whole thing not made sturdy enou. Im light & going up the ladder made the whole frame fall f/ward. No curtains for privacy on the beds. Found it difficult 2 find location.

Ideal location 20km from Santiago. Very clean and well appointed facilities
Pros: Large hostel with lots of rooms but no queue for loos / showers which were very clean / well appointed. Nice lounge area with kitchen / dining tables too.
Cons: It was really hot at night and without air con the room was pretty unbearable - but what can you expect at the price!
