Overall, I’d recommend this albergue to other Pilgrims, but forewarn them about the cost of the washing facilities there

Pros: The property was ideally located for my purposes of walking the Camino. The rooms were typical of an Albergue, but the washing facilities for clothes were modern. Also the toilets and bathrooms were of a high standard and always seemed clean. The restaurant area was spacious and staff very pleasant.

Cons: I thought the washing machine and dryer were on the expensive side, especially in comparison to other albergue’s I’d used. At five euros for each machine it came as a bit of a shock.

The staff were very helpful to the pilgrims.

Pros: Location to the Camino trail. Staff were fabulous.

Cons: Only 1 toilet and 1 shower.

A nice albergue on the hill with a nice view and a cold water fountain

Pros: The bedroom is big with a lot of space and nice views. There is a restaurant downstairs, a bit overpriced. Nice view from the terrace. There is a motorway close by but it’s not noisy. It’s quiet at night.

Cons: The personnel could be a little bit more welcoming to a pilgrim that is coming from a long walk in the heat: why not offer him/her to sit and have a glass of cold water while checking in and registering.

Pros: Clean and modern building with nice rooms and bathrooms. Nice outdoor area as well as bar/restaurant that was able to do a veggie option for the pilgrim meal. The town of Ribadiso is in two main parts - down by the river and up a steep hill. This hostel and one other is pretty much the only things up the hill, but it gives you a great view and a head start on the Camino the next day.

Great stay. Would recommend

Pros: Room was large, bed comfortable. windows both sides. Host was super friendly. View was fantastic, cold water foot bath was such a bonus
