A truly amazing re use of monastery changed to a hotel , sypathetically refurbished , great stay.

Pros: The hotel was amazing, the standard of refurbishment from monestary to hotel was very, very high. It was great to be able to park my motorbike underground where it was safe, and we had a view of the origonal church walls in the basement. The evening food was ok from the bar, but the breakfast was outstanding in an amazing room. Overall a great stay, although quite expensive it was worth it.

Cons: The swimming pool was a bit small, but I'm amazed there was one, I never could really sort out the complicated room lighting system. The wifi was down for the evening, which was a bit annoying but this should not stop you from visiting this amazing hotel.

After many visits it’s still top of our list.

Pros: The rooms and food are fantastic. I rate this as one of the best paradors we have stayed in. I tried a spa treatment this time and it was a very nice experience.

Cons: Not specific to this property but to paradors in general, I’m not a fan of the assigned times for breakfast! I also wish toilet brushes could be supplied. I think both these changes occurred during Covid times and I don’t see the reason for continuing.

The first time we have been there and we would definitely return.

Pros: A lovely hotel with lots of little unique features from it's past as a monastery and also the local mining past. Covered, secure parking was available for our motorcycle and a lovely swimming pool.
