Hotel San Jacobo

A hidden jem on the outskirts of Santiago

Pros: The staff at San Jacobo were lovely and helpful. I arrived on my motorcycle and they had arranged for me to leave it in a secure locked garage. The rooms were clean and the staff always smiled and were delightful. I had food there too and the same applied it was good well cooked and delicious.

Cons: I honestly can’t think of anything the hotel is located a little way out of Santiago which has advantages if you are not wanting to be in the centre of the city.

Pros: Well presented hotel, great location and important safe parking for motos.

Pros: The room was clean, the staff were exeptional, location was good. Would definitely stay here again if given the chance. There's a nice restaurant in the hotel and a big mall 10 to 15mins walk away.

Cons: Nothing. All good.

Pros: The reception staff are friendly, check in is 24 hours, the room was comfortable. I arrived late and checked out early in the morning, so didn’t get a real chance to fully experience what the hotel had to offer, but I had a comfortable nights sleep.

Very friendly and helpful owners

Pros: We booked this accommodation online. On arrival we found that it was closed for a family holiday. However a quick phone call to the owner. Resolved all our problems. He opened the accommodation for us, advised us of the best places to eat etc. The owners could not have been more friendly or helpful. I would recommend them just on this but the room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Just what we needed after a long hot walk along the Camino Ingles.

Cons: More drying space needed

Pros: The location had a bus stop right out front to the city. Easy to park our car. Staff lovely

Pros: It was perfect for my needs eg easy access to the town and also to the airport. Room & en-suite were fine for a single traveller. Several restaurants close by.

Highly recommend.

Pros: I stayed here for three nights after completing the Camino, it's 2 Km from the Cathedral a 35 minute walk using Camino route or number 6 bus outside the door. Excellent service, staff bet comfortable, reasonably priced.

Cons: Not applicable.

Pros: They cleaned our room everyday and changed our towels. It had a bus stop right in front of the hotel to get into the city.

Cons: A bit far from the old centre

Good value for a night’s stay

Pros: Really convenient to the airport. The bus stops right in front of the door. The hotel is really basic but good enough for a night’s stay. Dated but comfortable and clean. There’s a cafe/bar downstairs that serves food.

Cons: The staff works at the bar and they wouldn’t call a taxi for me to go to the airport, and I couldn’t take the bus because I didn’t have cash (and you have to pay cash to get on the bus). They also wouldn’t let me pay the 1 euro fee for the bus at the hotel or at the cafe (added to my bill and paid by card) and give me the 1 euro in cash, so I was basically stranded in the middle of nowhere. There’s an atm a few blocks away but take that into account so that you don’t miss your flight (or bring cash) heheh
