Pazo Cibrán

Pros: The guesthouse was very cozy, spotless, and the hosts were exceptionally kind and helpful. The location is convenient. We also had breakfast and enjoyed it very much. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. Many thanks to our wonderful hosts, Alicia and Jacobo!

Nice accommodation in a scenic countryside

Pros: Set in rural and scenic countryside with a very helpful hostess. We had an enjoyable 8 day stay attending an international event. Great size studio room and bathroom. Overall, a very nice area to explore. Very friendly dog and horse and large garden area.

Cons: •\tUnfortunately, there was no Wi-Fi in the out out-based studio room. Wi-fi is available in the main building lounge where the router is located nearby, but even then, I found the signal pretty weak. •\tLovely bathroom but lack of a ventilation fan means the floor gets very slippery. Opening the window is not really an option as too many mosquitoes. •\tWould be great if the room had a kettle to boil water for coffee as we had to use the Microwave. •\tIt would be helpful if the radiators were modernised with thermostats so the heat can be regulated. •\tThe main yard and pathway consists of large cobbles and as a result the pathway leading to out-based rooms can be very slippery when wet due to leaves from surrounding trees. Bring appropriate shoes but ideally periodic pressure washing would help. Tips 1)\tWherever you are staying in the area, there seems to be lots of mosquitoes so if you are not used to them, come well prepared. Keep windows closed! 2)\tThere are some restaurants about a 10-minute drive in a car. However, they generally do not open for food until 20:30 or 21.00. Eating very late is the norm for this area of Spain. Note: Most restaurants do not open Sundays and Mondays so plan around this.

A magical property which feels like a secret garden

Pros: Our newly renovated apartment was spacious and comfortable. The Pazo is a beautiful property, with extensive grounds, and a white horse that wanders the grounds freely, giving a magical feeling to the place. We had breakfast one morning, which was ample and delicious. The surrounding area is peaceful and lovely, but provides remarkable swift access to Santiago de Compostela by car. The best of all was our hostess, Alicia, who is warm and thoughtful, and provided many excellent recommendations of things to do and restaurants in the region. She is completely delightful to talk with. She speaks some English and was patient with our very imperfect slow Spanish. We would definitely stay here again.

Cons: We arrived in summer, when mosquitos were abundant. If we opened the windows to take advantage of the cool breeze in the evening, the mosquitos invaded and apparently liked us quite a lot for dinner.

The best you can find in Santiago region

Pros: Wonderful location nearby Santiago, just 15 min drive. Clean room Nice central room Delicious breakfast

Pros: Good hosts, helpful and approachable. Easy free parking, Breakfast was ample. Lovely crisp white bedding, v comfy bed. Handy local bar 100mts away for a nightcap. 3 x vino's and a huge excellent brandy for €10 ...😎🙃🍷🍷🍷 An interesting old family home/conversion.

Cons: Eco friendly Toiletries were pretty ineffective but I support the principle. My wife suggests bring your own shampoo & conditioner. TV in room pretty pointless ( tiny screen) unless you're a fluent spanish speaker. Dogs from neighbouring properties barked through the night , a mosquito in the room ruined the first night's sleep, the property is surrounded by a large beautiful garden full of trees, maybe a mozzi spray in the room is a must, we bought one and slept v well our second night in the lovely bedding and comfy bed.

Perfect family retreat

Pros: Lovely pazo with an amazing garden and friendly and welcoming hosts. It is perfect to get around Galicia. Only a short drive from Santiago and close to the main roads, making very easy to travel around. The breakfast was amazing. Actually way better than the buffet ones. It changed daily and the quality and taste was always excellent. In the evening there is also the option of having 'tostas' and drinks. We didn't try them, but the selection seemed great. Our family room was quite new, but had a rustic feeling. My kids loved it. Especially the fact that they had direct access to the garden
