Clean and good value

Pros: The rooms were very clean and comfortable and in a good location right on the Camino

Cons: I had to go up 4 flights of stairs to my room , no elevator and also tricky taking your luggage up and down . Bar downstairs was average but we didn’t eat there just a drink . The didn’t open until 730 am for breakfast

Pros: A comfortable and reasonably priced private hostel near the entrance to the village (if walking the Camino de Santiago) but equally not far from the centre of the village. Bathroom clean. Friendly bar downstairs for drinks, snacks and breakfast.

A comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Very helpful and kind hostess.

Pros: Helpful staff who went out of her way to make us comfortable and attend to our needs. We were feeling quite low and she made us welcome and was very friendly.

Cons: Ran out of toilet paper.

There are lots of other much nicer places to stay in Triacastela

Pros: Large room, clean. My room had really good views (though only rooms at the side gave this)

Cons: No welcome. You have to attract the attention of a very busy barman in the understaffed bar underneath the pension in order to get your key. The walk up to the pension from the bar is very steep followed by a walk up to the 4th floor, each floor having two flights of stairs. My room was clean but looked like it had not be maintained or redesigned in very many years. In my room there was no bin or beside light and the blinds did not work.
