Idyllic location to prepare for a challenging climb

Pros: Casa Lixa offers a mix of dorm-style rooms and private rooms for pilgrims on the Camino, and we stayed in the latter. The location was ideal for those who wanted to rest before tackling a challenging climb on the next day (and the beautiful idyllic surroundings were amazing). Casa Lixa has a bar and an excellent restaurant, the room was very comfortable, and they had a very nice system for keeping dirty boots out using an internal staircase for guests (who left their boots in a designated place). The staff will also do laundry for you! The restaurant setup was great for meeting other pilgrims and socializing.

Cons: There was a mix-up in my credit card, but this might have been more associated with the booking platform rather than the casa rural.

Pros: A fantastic Albergue, I’ve stayed here twice. Very comfortable beds! The hosts are very friendly and attentive. Plenty of space for washing and drying clothes. The Albergue is in a great location.

Pros: I wholeheartedly recommend this place! The staff were incredibly friendly, always smiling and ready to help. The room was really beautiful – probably one of the nicest I’ve ever stayed in. The food was delicious with a good variety to choose from. Breakfast was excellent too – a perfect way to fuel up before heading out for the day. Definitely a place worth coming back to!

Cons: With the ensuite outside the room we had to lock and unlock an external bathroom each time to use- not a problem but a little awkward with the dorm rooms nearby.
