Albergue Argemira - Grupo Arcanos

Pros: Very clean. I liked that backpacks were left in metal boxes. That was important for hygiene. There was a shelf and shower gel in the shower, a hair dryer, the bed was covered with a curtain, each bed had its own socket. They also gave disposable towels. Very friendly staff. There was a kettle in the kitchen! That was a nice surprise. We rarely found kettles in albergues in Spain.

Cons: There were no stove in the kitchen

great option for those wanting a private albergue in caldas de reis, nearby restaurant and groceries

Pros: washer and dryer in the building, large fridge and freezer, and they offer breakfact. well equipped kitchen with utensils/appliances. we were 2 of only 4 guests for the night so it was a great stay.

Brand new albergue in Caldas!

Pros: We were walking the Camiño and couldn’t find anywhere to stay in Caldas except this albergue, which had no reviews at the time. Since we had no other options, we gave it a go - and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise! Everything is brand new, and the location is convenient. It’s a typical open-plan albergue, so all the bunk beds are in one big room. That means you’ll definitely hear your fair share of snoring - but hey, that’s part of the Camiño experience!

Amabilidad y limpieza

Pros: La chica del mostrador muy amable y simpática. Instalaciones limpias y bien ordenadas. Buenos baños con un lavadero y pequeño tendedero encima, dentro. Lavadora y secadora. Sabanas desechables incluidas.

Cons: Aunque nuestras literas tenían cortinas estas no llegaban de punta a punta y dejaban entrar la luz a parte de que te vean otros huéspedes. Unas cortinas mas largas o en las puertas a las habitaciones vendrían muy bien (lo dejo para que lo valoren en un futuro). No nos dieron manta no se si no había o había que pedirlas. Tampoco nos dieron llaves para las taquillas (aunque tenían cerraduras), teniendo que dejar la mochila y pertenencias con fe de que nadie tocara nada mientras estamos fuera.

Pros: La chica de recepción, excelente. Había Gel de ducha. Te daban sabana de abajo, de arriba y toalla (todo de usar y tirar) pero es bienvenido!

Cons: Poco espacio en el baño para poner las cosas, un poco incómodo. Los electrodomésticos de cocina no empezaron a funcionar hasta bien tarde.... O empiezas a andar un poco tarde o te toca desayunar fuera.

Pros: Muy amables las mujeres de la recepcion y instalaciones muy limpias

Pros: Die Unterlunft ist eine der saubersten, die wir auf dem Jakobsweg hatten. Es gibt Einmal-Bettwäsche und Einmal-Handtuch. Sehr nette Gastgeberin. Sie hat uns Panzertape zum reparieren gegeben, eine dickere Decke gebracht und als wir unsere Wäsche per Hand waschen wollten, hat sie uns gefragt, ob wir dafür was benötigen.

Cons: Das Licht geht von alleine aus (10 p.m.) und früh wieder an (7 a.m.). Außerdem ist die Notfallbeleuchtung sehr hell und man kann, abhängig vom Ort des Bettes, nicht im Dunkeln schlafen.

Best sleep I had so far in a hostel

Pros: Cool hostel in a very nice town. It`s a large space, divided by structural beds, has nice bathrooms, a small kitchen, coin laundry, common area, you get an entry code and you can order breakfast at location from one of the local cafes. The staff is nice, friendly, very helpful if ask for advice. I would recommend a visit, especially for the local waters, both thermal and natural springs. It is an overall nice experience.

Cons: You have to pay extra on location for cotton/ textile bed linens. As a pilgrim accommodation, they offer just the basic hospital plastic transparent sheets, that won`t keep anyone warm. Pilgrims know to bring their own sleeping bag or sleeping bag sheet with them along the way, so it was not a problem for me. But it`s a good to know information.
