Albergue de la Piedra

Pros: Very warm welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable, and women only . Kitchen was a great meeting place and well equipoed.

Pros: Lovely albergue on the outskirts of town. Staff very friendly and very helpful with the washing. The bed was really comfy and it was nice not to be in bunk beds - the dorm was spacious and had a good bathroom. Great view over the river - would definitely stay here again

A welcome respite on the Camino de Santiago

Pros: It was very welcoming. We arrived quite late, but the hosts still agreed to do our washing for us, and returned it dried and folded which was lovely. They also prepared a substantial packed breakfast for us with our names on the bag which was a very sweet touch.

Cons: The middle landing lights were visible from the top floor room, and noise travelled quite a bit at night (bathrooms etc)

Pros: This is a comfortable place with everything you need and small rooms for peace. Had a great night’s sleep.

Pros: It's a small place to stay. But they are cute and are taken care of by their caretakers.

Great stop right on the Camino with great clean rooms and services.

Pros: Very interesting, built into a rock. Very handy as it’s right on the Camino trail. Clean and good serves, kitchen etc.

Excellent location while walking the Camino. Amazing staff.

Pros: My Camino luggage transfer never arrived and the staff went above and beyond to get it sorted. The single room I stayed in had a fan and with the current heat wave, this allowed me to have a very comfortable nights sleep.

Amazing - would definitely stay again

Pros: Really welcoming and super clean, it was my first Camino hike and reception was very kind and helpful with my enquiries, especially with my bag service enquiries. I would definitely recommend this stay, my room felt so clean and new, after a long hike the shower was great. Amazing stay!

Pros: Unsure it is the their system but when I got there all females stay in 3rd floor and all males stay in 2nd floor. It was comfortable to stay especially at night time with not much of snoring. The facility was clean and looks like maintaining well.

Cons: Only one shower and toilet for each female/ male. No spare shower or toilet in the down stairs.

Comfortable, cosy, friendly.

Pros: It was very comfortable, cosy and friendly, helpful owners. I had my washing dried by them! I liked having a separate single bed in a small dorm. Good free coffee to have, especially good in the morning and good warm shower. Nice by the river and the sound of water at night felt relaxing. Villafranca is a beautiful place and easy to walk into the centre from here.

Cons: Nothing and would have been nice to have some outside space to sit out perhaps, but realise this isn’t always possible.
