Cosy, Comfortable & a Delightful stay!

Pros: STAFF-Excellent! This hostel is run by a group of energetic, professional and passionate people. Paula, George, Lourdes, Mady and others make you feel welcome and comfortable in every possible way. VIBE-Positive! A great place to socialize. GENERAL-Clean rooms, towels for free, and kitchen with basics available. Laundry facility is a big plus. Hostel has a lovely green area with ample sitting space. Supermarket almost next door, and small cafes around the area. Local bus stand nearby with buses plying to bus & train station, and to the airport. LOCKER-Locker next to the bed. Additional storage space is also available.

Cons: Toilet/Shower are super small enclosures, but always immaculately clean.

Great location

Pros: Located just a little away from the hustle-bustle of the town centre but not too far either. The common area and kitchen were quite big.

Cons: Not worth the price. The showers and toilet stalls were too small and it didn't have a very polished/ clean feel to it.

Home away from home.

Pros: When I arrived, I immediately felt at home after my Camino walk. Everything was great — from the beds to the showers, which were cleaned daily and very well maintained. The showers had recently been refurbished, so they looked brand new. The kitchen downstairs was hygienic and well-organized, making it easy to prepare meals. The location of the hostel was incredibly convenient — close to everything, especially the Cathedral. And let’s not forget Jueves, the cat — he/she stole everyone’s heart, along with the office dog! They truly added a special touch to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Pros: I liked the common area, kitchen, and garden with the colorful hammocks. There is a nice cat at the backyard but I stayed away from it since they need their space. Friendly and quick reception. I was happy to find this place upon deciding to stay one more night in Santiago de Compostela. If there were a mop or rubber wiper we could use in the shower stall that would help us keep the floor dry for other users. Location is great. If you love artful churches at least three are on the same street (Carmel, Santa Clara, and San Roque). It is a quick walk to the square in front of the cathedral. I would stay here if I came back. It would be nice if curtains and lights were installed for each dormitory bed.

Probably best (affordable) hostel in Santiago de Compostela)

Pros: Comfortable and warm environment. Very spacious rooms, kitchen and living-room. Cozy and quiet garden. Would recommend to anyone who is open to meet and hang out with other backpackers. Great location (10min to cathedral, 1min to Tobacco and grocery shop). Staff ready to help you with anything you need.

Cons: Small bathrooms (good water pressure in the showers tho)

Such a great place!

Pros: I wish I stayed longer honestly, the location was great to be outside of the busy centre of town, only 10 minutes or so to the cathedral and plenty of little bars and cafes along the walk, on a main road too so felt completely safe walking back. The garden is gorgeous and made such a difference to my stay, having somewhere so nice to go and hang out outside of the room was such a huge bonus. They have free towels for your stay and the rooms are big and airy. They happily let you leave your luggage and use the communal spaces if you arrive early. A bathroom with two showers and toilet on each level was plenty enough and I never had to wait. The beds don't have curtains but the hostel has such a nice communal vibe that it encourages you to be social which I miss in a lot of hostels these days.

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Nice environment. You can come in and out whenever you want after checking in

Cons: You still have around 15/20 min from the center, but you can also grab a bus in the front door

Good Hostel

Pros: It was super nice with a nice back garden area and common spaces. The beds were also comfy.

Cons: The bathroom was extremely small. Only 1 sink and one toilet. Very crampt for a few people let alone 12 people. In the end it wasnt too much of an issue but definitley annoying. About a 15-20 minute walk from the center.

Pros: In Santiago I always seemed to return to Meiga. Not the cheapest but the vibe is special. The backyard with the cat strolling around is a great spot.

Cons: Washer and dryer is too expensive and the dryer needs to dry better.
