Wonderful

Pros: Reception staff were pleasant, the parador is magic! Parking and access is fantastic. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Cons: The smaller room 105 was very warm. The temperature was adjusted but didn’t cool down. The code for the communal toilets downstairs could be shared at checking. It asked to wait to enter restaurant but there were limited staff attention. Not everything was available on the dinner menu.

Enjoyable and comfortable stay

Pros: Beautiful views. Comfortable and very clean room. Decent breakfast - lots of choice.

Cons: Although the views are worth it, I’d recommend getting a car / taxi to access the hotel, as the hill is very steep! A regular shuttle bus would be very useful here!

A beautifully situated Parador

Pros: Gorgeous building high above the town. Our junior suite was large and well equipped and the public spaces were lovely . Good value for money in terms of the room and drinks at the bar

Cons: Parador hotels need to up their game in terms of customer service. Most of the staff were civil but not friendly or helpful. The restaurant closes between 4.00 and 8.30 and there is no food available in the cafeteria, not even an ice cream. Customers spending this amount of money expect more

Pros: Fabulous building , so much history and great location

Cons: Far too much heat in winter - not good for the environment, please turn the thermostat down .

A wonderful restful stay in a beautiful venue steeped in history overlooking the city of Monforte.

Pros: Reception was lovely - other staff were less friendly and welcoming - maybe it's a northern spanish thing? The room was wonderful and the food good - it was an honour to stay in such a magnificent building - I wish the UK would replicate such a great example.

Cons: The waiting staff could have been a bit more friendly. We found them quite aloof. The reception staff however, were exemplary in their welcoming attitude.
