La Rectoral

A stunning location to stay in and well worth the visit, but don’t expect ultramodern comforts or easy access.

Pros: This hotel is in a stunning location, with amazing views from the bedrooms and dining room. It has a kind of attractive quirkyness, the furnishings are full of character if a little locked into the 1970s. Think of heavy wood and lots of orange decor!

Cons: The restaurant was closed the night we stayed - Wednesday is staff day off which we felt is a bit random. Breakfast was a little tired in parts, and no cooked / hot options. The bathroom needed better attention to cleaning detail - hairs here and there and a dangerously slippy in-bath shower with no anti-slip mat. The bed was pretty uncomfortable - old and sunk in the middle. Overall many parts need upgrading but the views were so good we forgave them!! The location is spectacular but NB you need to be very fit and mobile to walk to/from the village due to incredibly steep hills.

A magical retreat

Pros: Absolutely love La Rectoral - rustic charm, historic building sensitively restored, stunning view, super clean, huge room, excellent food especially dinner with a vista, great service .

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: We loved the beauty of the location and the rustic charm of this wonderful hotel. We loved everything about it, apart from having to leave.

Cons: There was absolutely nothing to dislike.

A wonderful place to stay

Pros: La Rectoral is a fantastic hotel in an idyllic location. The views are incredible and the environment brings a sense of calm. The manager, and the rest of the staff, are welcoming and friendly and do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Lastly, we would recommend the breakfast which is plentiful and of great quality. The only shame is that we were only able to stay one night on this occasion (but we certainly hope to return soon).

Pros: Location is excellent in small village with views across the valley. Hotel is nicely decorated with antiques and objects of interest lining the corridors. Our room was clean, spacious with a lovely terrace.bathroom was luxurious. Bed was large and comfortable Dinner was excellent although portions were almost too large Breakfast was delightful with fruit, pastries, cold meat and cheese

Cons: WiFi was patchy. No coffee making facilities in room

Pros: Amazing place, with a family ambiance and a true feeling of hospitality. Once you enter the hotel, you dive into the history of Tarammundi right away. Strongly recommendable.

Don't miss a visit. Excellent Hotel and place

Pros: Everything. The hotel, its history, its beauty, the location, the staff, the views. There is nothing not to like. One of my favourite places that I have been.

Cons: There is nothing not to like. For convenience would be nice to have a kettle in the room. However, when I asked for boiling water to make my child formula that was provided immediately at no extra cost (I did not say what the water was for as they did not ask. They happly supplied).

We would go again.

Pros: Superb location, ideal for walkers. More to do in the area than at first obvious. Interesting town. Interesting building conversion.

Cons: The restaurant was not open for our first night - it would have been good to be pre advised of this. There was other evening food available nearby.....down a very steep hill!

Pros: Durante nuestra estancia todo ha sido perfecto, personal muy amable y el rector del hotel muy agradable, desayuno muy completo y la habitación con terraza increíble, para repetir
