Pros: Quirky medieval decor and building. Furnishings in the body of the hotel complement the look. The room was fine and clean. Breakfast was good. Secure parking was important to us for our motorbike and the was more than adequately provided.

Be a medieval knight for a night

Pros: Well located close to the train station and right at the railway museum. Within walking distance from old town and castle. Calm hotel with a unique theme of the templar castle. A medieval touch but with all modern facilities in a contemporary building.

Pros: A hotel with great character. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. Nice bar to finish off your day before going to bed. While it is a little bit of a walk from the old part of the town I chose to stay there as I was catching a train first thing in the morning and the train station is only a 5 min walk away.

Cons: As it is an old building it is quite dark inside even on a bright sunny day but this only adds to the character of the place.

Pros: Very clean and spacious room, super comfortable beds, great buffet breakfast with plenty of good food to choose from. Staff were attentive, restaurant service was very quick and accommodating. Best of all is the hotel itself with an authentic medieval theme throughout - a great experience all round!

Cons: Private car parking €10 a night. Restaurant menu lacked variety and the choice of 'beverages' limited.

Pros: Location suited us as we do walk and wasn't far from the Castle. Air-conditioned and very spacious room. Staff very friendly

Cons: Nothing to do with the hotel but Ponferrada graffiti is terrible worst I have ever seen in the 30 years I have Travelled.
