Quirky and different but a great stay

Pros: Bernard the owner was very attentive. The place is quirky and different which makes for a lovely stay. It is well situated for a visit to Ponferrada. Bernard is very knowledgeable of the town and the region - use his wealth of knowledge

Friendly and pleasant people and lovely peaceful setting

Pros: Breakfast was good , traditional which we appreciated . And good advice from a senior man .

Very quiet, very relaxing, very friendly staff

Pros: Very charming place, very quiet, close to Cangas de Onis.

Cons: Need a car to get there, it's a few km outside of Cangas de Onis.

Pros: The hotel is rural as its name suggest and is quiet, with helpful staff and good value for money.

Cons: It is quite far out from town, but we knew that and travelled back in on our own transport. The biggest downside was that the drains in our bathroom probably required to be cleaned.

Beautiful hotel and very good value for money.

Pros: One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in and set in its own woodland park with plenty of space for parking the car. Excellent value for money and very friendly. The unique Las Medulas Roman mine is located nearby.

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was really good. I only had one meal there (an evening meal) which was fine.

Cons: The hotel was further from Ponferrada than I had expected.

Pros: The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, and it’s located on one of the main roads into Ponferrada. If you’re looking for somewhere for a night, it’s perfect.

Cons: It’s a little bit far from Ponferrada centre, but we knew this when booking. Also our bathroom only had a bath with a shower head attachment. Not a problem for one night though.

Pros: This place is a little gem. A beautiful old stone building renovated to provide sizable rooms. Very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. They want you to enjoy your stay. They made a special effort to prepare us a plant based meal for dinner. Discover it for yourselves and enjoy.

Cons: We would have liked oats and plant based milk to be available for breakfast!

Pros: I loved the quirkiness of the place. The host was very interesting to talk with. I was so happy to see my first ever Ginko Biloba tree there.

Cons: The breakfast was a bit meagre but this was outweighed by everything else.
