A brilliant way to get away from it all

Pros: Recently redone monastery in remote Ourense - what’s not to like? Unique and beautifully done.

Cons: Nothing!

One of the most beautiful Paradores de Espanha - A room with a exceptional view.

Pros: The Parador is located in an exceptionally beautiful place, nicely aconditioned with style. Roms were big, good beds and good toilet. The dinner at the Cafeteria was good, facing the cloister. We could visit the closed cloisters and the whole staying (one night) wa svery pleasant.

Cons: The armchairs in the room were very uncomfy. It is a little detail but that does not match the quality and the attention to details in other issues.

Pros: The reception staff were very knowledgeable and efficient. There is nothing like a Parador, views , locations, and buildings. We enjoyed the music provided by the wedding party!

Cons: We felt that outside events, wedding, baptism lunch stretched the catering department adversely. (We stayed at a weekend). Having to reserve a time for dinner only to find that there were few other diners didn't improve the environment. Although the bathroom was a good size, the door to the shower (over the bath) made it very difficult to get in and out of the shower. .

Beautiful location, with helpful and welcoming staff- we would highly recommend this Parador!

Pros: Staff were excellent, especially in the restaurant. All staff were friendly and polite. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful, both on arrival and departure. Food in the restaurant was very good.

Cons: Nothing. Everything was to our liking.

Very atmospheric and interesting former monastery now converted into a parador.

Pros: Great location for walking and visiting monasteries and castles in the neighbourhood, but you need a car.

Cons: Driving was often difficult because of the narrow and winding roads.

Pros: Stunning building and really well modernised. Stopped over on driving tour of Northern Spain.

Wonder stay at a beautiful old monastery with great food and staff.

Pros: Fabulous stay with beautiful grounds, great food and ideal location for hiking.

Cons: nothing.

Pros: An exceptionally fine building, blending old and new architecture, design and furnishings. Superb location, lovely restaurant and local walks. Our room was amazing.

Cons: A guy on reception who was more interested in texting on his phone than dealing with a customer. Which was a shame, as the rest of the staff were excellent.

Very pleasant night stop

Pros: Very nice and interesting accommodation. As mentioned, lacking in outside space for relaxing - but that should be known beforehand. Plenty of safe parking for motorcycle.

Cons: Have had better rates for similar paradors, but supply and demand I guess…

Pros: This is an exceptional hotel in a stunning building amidst a beautiful location. The staff were lovely and attentive and all services provided were top rate. The bedroom was spacious and high quality, and the breakfasts were fabulous, so too the evening meals. A great place to stay.
