Hotel Arco de Mazarelos

Pros: Excellent location. Accommodation Excellent, good beds, good bedding. Nice room size

Pros: Great location in old town. A bit nousy when restaurant packs up furniture at night under your room where you’re trying to sleep.

Cons: The check in was aweful. Arrived to drop off luggage as agreed but hotel was locked. No signal so my messages to them did not go through. Waited till 3 pm for check in but took another 20 min for the check in to happen. Language an issue and lack of staff.

A comfortable stay after walking the Portuguese Camino. The receptionist was extremely helpful

Pros: Location was very good as not far from the cathedral. Staff were very helpful.

Pros: Location. Excellent for train station and old town.

Cons: The hotel is a little tired. Check in is done by two very overworked waiters. If you arrive at a busy time, they barely have the time to book you in, let alone attend the tables. They were great, but you don’t get the welcome to our establishment feel. We stayed three nights. The noise outside on the Friday was very loud until about 2 am which is to be expected in Spain when there is a bar below. However, the room was badly soundproofed and guests were waking us up coming back until 6 am. Saturday and Sunday night were better.

Central location makes a perfect stay

Pros: Very central and close to all camino attractions. Just a 5 minute walk from Santiago cathedral.

Cons: It appeared that the bar and restaurant were only open on an ad hoc basis and not every day/evening.

A Good Place to Explore Santiago de Compostela

Pros: Very close to the centre and just a short distance from Santiago Cathedral. Quaint old hotel in the old part if town.

Cons: Restaurant and bar only open at certain times/days.

Absolutely perfect

Pros: Absolutely perfect, in the heart of historic center. Cafeteria down in the building. The room was super comfy. After 9 days on camino this was my balm for my soul.

Old boys on the Camino Ingles

Pros: Fairly central , A restaurant and bar below but little noise to disturb you clean and tidy and helpful staff

Cons: Nothing really more than adequate for our needs

Pros: building of stone and wood with beautiful windows - easy access to cafes etc Good bathroom

Cons: nothing much Was surprised at the lack of communication or response to our questions about late access. Good had all been resolved by communicating a policy
